All In The Family 12" x 12" Page

Here is the last of the three pages being made at my in-home workshop tonight. The hostess wanted me to use the stamp set, All In The Family, on one of the pages. I wanted to come up with a page where the children don't have to be colored in, and this is what I came up with. I don't want to over-stay my welcome at my hostesses' houses, so I try to make all of my in-home workshop pages be quick and easy. I hope Tonya likes it!

It's hard to see in the above picture the row of children across the Riding Hood Red strip. Here is a close-up of the strip so you can see the children a little better.

My kids are all teenagers now, and they're a little embarrassed by these pictures of them. Actually, the girls are the ones that are embarrassed...Alex not so much. I told them that when they're all grown up, they'll like looking back at these pictures. I don't know if they believed me! LOL

Supplies
:
All In the Family and ABC Alphabet Lower Sets; Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, More Mustard, and Naturals White cardstock; Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, & More Mustard Classic Ink Pads; Crop-A-Dile, Metallic Eyelets, Big Shot Die-Cut Machine & Top Note Bigz Die.

Polka Dot Punches 12" x 12" Page

This is another page that the ladies at my Friday in-home workshop will make. I used only colors from the Bold Brights family for this one. I also used one of the Sale-A-Bration sets, Polka Dot Punches. If you want this set, you'll need to place a $50 order (before shipping & tax) or host a qualifying workshop. The word set I used was Celebrate Everything. This is a very simple and easy page to make. I hope the ladies (and you) like it.

Supplies: Polka Dot Punches (SAB) & Celebrate Everything Sets; Tempting Turquoise, Only Orange, Green Galore, Lovely Lilac, and Whisper White cardstock; Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore, & Lovely Lilac Classic Ink Pads; Full Heart Punch Stampin' Dimensionals.

Ladybug 12" x 12" Page

I finally got to create some new projects! I did stamp last weekend, but I was making the same card 43 times and the same 6 x 6 page 19 times for a swap I'm in with other SU! demonstrators. It took awhile, but I'm really looking forward to getting some new card and 6x6 page ideas back.

I'm so ready for Spring! How about you? I'm getting tired of cold, dreary days. I just had to make some Spring/Summer type pages to brighten things up a bit.

This page was made using the Level One Hostess Set, Darling Dots. This set is adorable! I have an in-home workshop this Friday night, and this is one of the pages they'll be making. It's a hands-on workshop, so each lady will be making three 12" x 12" pages for $5. If they place at least a $35 order, they get to make the pages for free. The hostess gets to choose the type of projects that will be made...all cards, all scrapbook pages, or a combination. There are always three to make.

If you're interested in having a workshop like this with your friends and family at your house, just contact me. I'd be happy to set a date for you. I also do free workshops where I demonstrate 3 projects, and everyone makes one. If you have your workshop before March 31, you can take advantage of Sale-A-Bration. Hostesses generally earn a lot more free stuff during this promotion. You'll need to hurry! Time is running out for Sale-A-Bration workshops!

Supplies: Darling Dots (Hostess) & Big Deal Alphabet Sets; Basic Gray, Real Red, So Saffron, & Naturals White cardstock; Real Red, So Saffron, & Basic Gray Classic Ink Pads; Real Red & Basic Gray Stampin' Write Markers; 1-1/4" & 1-3/8" Square Punches; 3/16" Corner Rounder Punch.

Valentine to My Sweetie

This is the card that I made my hubby for Valentine's Day. I love the hearts in the Polka Dot Punches Sale-A-Bration set, so I decided to use them. This card would work well as an anniversary card. I also got to thinking that if I used the other images in the set, I could make thank you cards, birthday cards, and more with this same layout and different colors. Since all of the stamps can be punched out with one of Stampin' Up! punches, it's a very quick and easy card to make.

It's a little hard to tell, but I stamped the hearts with my VersaMark pad and heat embossed them with White Emboss powder. I also used one of my Texturz Plates to dry emboss the brown cardstock behind the hearts, too. I really like how it turned out. I think Ken did, too.

Supplies: Polka Dot Punches (SAB) & Holidays & Wishes (p. 33) Sets; Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, & Close to Cocoa cardstock; Candy Lane Designer Paper, VersaMark Ink, White Emboss Powder, Heat Tool, Full Heart Punch, 1/2" Library Clips, Stampin' Dimensionals, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Texturz Impressions Pad & Silicone Rubber, & Stampin' Up! Backgrounds I Texturz Plates.

Sale-A-Bration Set - Polka Dot Punches

Today, I'm featuring the Sale-A-Bration set, Polka Dot Punches. This set works great with 4 of our punches...the 5-Petal Punch, Full Heart Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, & 1-3/8" Circle Punch. If you purchase all 4 punches, you can choose this set free!

The card on the left was made by Maria Richie. She punched the hearts out with the Full Heart Punch. She also heat embossed the hearts. I made the card on the right. I used the 5-Petal Punch and the Scallop Circle Punch. I also used another Sale-A-Bration product...Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper. All of the stamp images were used on these cards except for the little flower that uses the 1-3/8" Circle Punch.

This set is very versatile. It can be used to make cards for just about any occasion. It's also a great set for scrapbook pages. By using this set and the punches, you'll have instant embellishments for your pages! I'll be using this set a lot.

Supplies:

Left Card: Polka Dot Punches (SAB) & Short and Sweet Sets; Riding Hood Red, Whisper White cardstock, Pink Pirouette Textured Cardstock, Riding Hood Red Classic Ink Pad; VersaMark Ink Pad; Heat Tool, Clear & White Emboss Powder, Pretty In Pink Grosgrain Ribbon

Sale-A-Bration Set - Botanical Blooms

First off, I'm sorry that I wasn't able to post last Friday or yesterday. There have been a lot of things happen since I last posted for my family...very good things!

For those of you that have known me for awhile, you know that we've been hoping to move for about 3 years now. It's been hard finding the right house for us in the same school district we're in now. Well, it looks like it's finally going to happen! We went to see a house last Saturday, and we made an offer that afternoon. We've looked at quite a few houses, and just knew this was it. We found out last night that our offer was accepted, however, we have to get our house sold first. So, the sign went in the yard yesterday afternoon, and we're frantically trying to get it ready. I have the day off work today, and will be painting a couple rooms.

So, I may not be able to post every weekday for a couple weeks. We still have some things to do to the house, so I won't be able to stamp that much. (I hope I don't go into stamping withdrawals!) I also have a week and a half before my next camp, and the projects are already figured out. That's why I'm jumping on the house stuff now. So, the next few days, the posts will be of Sale-A-Bration cards that I've made and cards made by other demonstrators that I received in a swap group I was in.

Below, you'll see 3 cards made with the Sale-A-Bration set, Botanical Blooms. I made the one on the left. The middle one was made by Michelle Lehmer, and the one on the right was made by Andrea Hurlbert. I really love this set. The flowers are so pretty. Remember, the only way you can get this set is to place a $50 order (before shipping & tax) between now and March 31 and get it free!

Supplies:

Left Card: Botanical Blooms Set (SAB); Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, & Kiwi Kiss cardstock & Classic Ink Pads; Naturals Ivory cardstock; Riding Hood Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

Middle Card: Botanical Blooms Set (SAB); Always Artichoke, Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, & Whisper White cardstock; Always Artichoke, Rose Red, & Pink Pirouette Classic Ink Pads; Scallop Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, Gold Brads

Right Card: Botanical Blooms Set (SAB); Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery, Basic Black, & Whisper White cardstock; Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery, & Basic Black Classic Ink Pads; Pink Pirouette Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

Dream a Little 6" x 6" Page

I joined a 6" x 6" page swap, and this is the one I'm making. The bride in the picture, Anya, is a family friend from the Ukraine. She got married a few months ago, and this beautiful picture of her was perfect for the page. She sent pictures to my parents over the Internet, so they could see her on her wedding day. I just love the Internet!

I really like making 6" x 6" pages. I know some card-makers that say they like making cards instead of scrapbook pages, because they're faster to make. A 6" x 6" page is just as fast as a card. So, if you've every toyed with the idea of trying out scrapbooking, consider starting with 6" x 6" pages! You'll love it!

Supplies: Dream A Little (hostess set); Close to Cocoa, Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, & Naturals White cardstock; Basic Brown, Close to Cocoa, Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery, & Baja Breeze Classic ink pads; Blender Pens, Stamping Sponges, Eyelet Border Punch, Word Window Punch, Small Oval Punch, 1/2" Library Clips, Stampin' Dimensionals, Big Shot, Texturz Impressions pad & silicone rubber, Texture Plates Kit #4 Texturz Plates.

Join My Stampin' Techniques Stamp Club!

I'm beginning a new Stamp Club in March. I've changed things from my past clubs. At this club, members will learn a new Stampin' Technique every month. Members will make a technique card for their ring binder (like the one on the left in the picture above), and have the choice of making either a card (w/envelope) or a 12" x 12" scrapbook page using the technique.

There are 10 people per club. Everyone commits to placing a minimum order of $15 per month for 10 months. Everyone also gets a turn being hostess for one month out of the 10. The hostess for the month gets all of the free hostess benefits! All members also get the current Spring-Summer 2009 Idea Book & Catalog AND the Fall-Winter 2009 Idea Book & Catalog when it comes out in July FREE! If you have already purchased a catalog from me and want to be in the club, I'll reimburse you the money you paid for it. To find out all of the particulars of this club, CLICK HERE.

The first technique that will be learned in March will be the Faux Dry Embossing technique. The technique card and the card that can be chosen to make using the technique is pictured above. There will also be a scrapbook page offered using the technique, and I'll post a picture of it within the next few days.

The picture on the right is a close-up of the technique. It really does look like I dry embossed it! To see a bigger image of it, just click on the picture.

If you are interested in joining or have any questions, please contact me.

February's Scrap In A Flash!

I had to cancel January's Scrap In A Flash! because of the frigid temperatures we were having that night. It was one of the days that we got below zero degrees here in Indiana. The ladies that were going to come really didn't want to get out in the cold, and I agreed with them! With that said, we're making last month's pages this month. I didn't want anyone to miss out on making them. To see a bigger image, just click on the picture.

I'm offering this camp on Friday, February 20 @ 6:30-9:00 p.m., and again on Saturday, February 21 @ 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The fee to make all three layouts is $18. If you would like to attend, please let me know which day by Wednesday, February 18, 2009.
