Scenic Season

I've been wanting this stamp set ever since I laid eyes on it, and I finally got it! I got this idea from someone else, but I can't remember who. I wish I would have written it down so I could give her credit. If I figure it out, I will.

This is another card we'll be doing at my Christmas Card SAS II. This card was so easy. The greeting and the trees are all on one stamp. After stamping the trees and greeting with Night of Navy ink, I punched a circle out with the 1-1/4" circle punch from a post-it note, making sure that I got some of the adhesive from the post-it note. I put the post-it note circle where I wanted the moon, and then I sponged the sky with Brocade Blue ink. After sponging, I removed the circle. I love how the bird silhouette is in the moon. It's hard to tell in the picture, but I also put some Frost White Shimmer paint on the snowy hills with a sponge. A super fast card with great results!

Stamps: Scenic Season

Ink: Night of Navy & Brocade Blue Classic pads

Paper: Night of Navy, Brocade Blue, & Naturals White card stock

Shimmery Snowflakes

This was the first card I made using Stampin' Up!'s Shimmery Paint that's in the Holiday Mini. I used Champagne Mist shimmer paint on this one. I can't believe how fast this dries! When I originally bought it, I thought I would have to let it air dry for awhile, or try to dry it with my heat tool. When I used it, it dried instantly! I was amazed!

I've decided to have this be one of the cards that will be made at my upcoming Christmas Card Stamp-A-Stack II on Saturday, Novemer 7. To find out more about this event, please go to my EVENTS CALENDAR.

I applied the shimmer paint directly to the stamp using a sponge dauber. Then, all I did was stamp it on. That's it! The closeup shows the shimmer a little better, but it still doesn't do it justice. It's so shimmery in real life. I really love this stuff!

I'm Certified...well almost!

I've completed everything I need to be certified for the My Digital Studio software, except for one thing...send this card to the printer. I'll be doing that this evening.

I really had fun making this card! The top picture is the card front, the next two are the inside of the card.

The top half of the card front is one of the designer papers in the software. The bottom half is Perfect Plum card stock, and I used a stamp from the Always set with Pale Plum. I lightened up the opacity of them to make the images softer. I also lighted up the opacity a little bit on the bird. I really like how it turned out!

I Love Dasher!

I love this reindeer! The antlers are gorgeous! Below is one of the cards that were made at my Christmas Card Stamp-A-Stack at the beginning of this month. It's a very simple card, but looks great! This will be the last Christmas Stamp-A-Stack I'll have until next year. All of the cards will be new ones...not the same ones as last time. To find out more, go to my EVENTS CALENDAR.

My First My Digital Studio Projects!

I meant to post these last Friday, but wasn't able to. Today, I'm showing you 4 projects I've made with My Digital Studio, to make up for being late. I really like this software. It's so easy to use, and there is so much you can do with it. Right now, I'm working on an 8" x 8" album that I'm going to have printed by Stampin' Up!'s printer. I'm also working on a new blog banner for my blog. I hope to have that up within the next week.

Above is a 12" x 12" page that I made. I started with the photo layout that is in the software, and then decorated it. You can start from a blank canvas, but I really liked the photo layout. It made it so easy! The program pulls up the pictures already in your computer. Just pick the pictures you want, and click!

This card was one of the card templates in the software. All I did was add the ribbon and the brads. I moved the snowflake pieces around, too.

This is one of the 8" x 8", 2-page layouts in the album I'm making. All of the pages were already in the software. All I did was put in my pictures, moved some of the embellishments around, and added my journaling.

This is the 2nd page of the same layout. This page had originally looked just like the one above, but I wanted it to be a 2-page layout. I moved the embellishments and pictures around so it would look better with the first page. So easy!
If I wanted to change the picture layout, I could have done that too. This layout just happened to work out great with the pictures I wanted to use. You can also resize the pictures if you like. Everything can be customized!

My Digital Studio

Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope the weather is brighter where you are. It's cold and rainy here in central Indiana. I miss the sun!

Today, I wanted to show you a little video that Stampin' Up! has made to let you know more about My Digital Studio. This paper crafting software is really great! There is so much you can do with it. It's not limited to just scrapbooking! I've only been able to play with it a little here and there, but I've really had fun with it when I do have time. Between the family stuff I need to get done (and the list keeps getting longer) and the house, I'm swamped. The kids always seem to need the computer for homework, too! I think we may have to break down and buy another one!

I'm planning to post a few pages and cards that I've made with this software by tomorrow. Each of the projects took very little time, and I love how they've turned out! I hope you'll like them, too.

Here is a close-up picture of one of the Halloween cards being made at my camp tomorrow. As I stated in the post on Wednesday, I got the idea from my friend, Kendra's card. I used a different stamp set and changed a couple colors, but other than that, I didn't change it much. I love how you can adapt cards to work with stamp sets you own. Fall Projects for This Saturday

As I promised yesterday, here are the Fall projects for this Saturday's stamp camp. It's not a very good picture, but it'll do. The lighting isn't very good in our new house, so the pictures aren't as good as they used to be. We're hoping to get better lighting in the future, so the pictures will be better someday! For those of you that are local, if you would like to attend, please let me know by noon tomorrow (Friday). To find out more about this camp, please go to my events calendar.

Fall/Halloween Stamp Camp this Saturday

I'm doing pretty good this week...I've got the projects for this week's camp made! Maybe I'll get back on track after the move yet! LOL Below, you'll see the Halloween projects that are going to be made on Saturday. I've posted the two projects on the left before, but the one on the right is new. One of my demonstrator buddies made a card like this one using the Twick or Tweet set that I just fell in love with! I don't have the stamp set she used, so I adapted it to work with the House of Haunts set. I also changed a couple of the colors. I like Kendra's version better, but mine will do. Our mutual demonstrator pal, Mandy, posted Kendra's card on her blog. To see it, CLICK HERE. I'll post my version of this card by itself in a few days, listing the supplies I used.

Come back tomorrow to see the Fall projects that will be made!
