I can't believe how fast the last 3 months have flown by! It seems like yesterday that I was announcing that Sale-A-Bration (SAB) was just beginning. I hope the next 2 months don't go by so fast...my oldest daughter graduates from high school at the end of May, and I'm not ready to be a mother of a college student! LOL Below, you'll see more cards that were made by demonstrators I've swapped with using SAB products.

The card above was made by one of my stamping buddies, Shirley Brown. She used the Whimsical Words SAB set (p. 8 in SAB brochure), along with the Scallop Trim Border SAB Punch. She also used the very popular Beautiful Wings Embosslit (p. 24) from the Occasions Mini. The colors she used were Bermuda Bay and Whisper White.

The card above is another card that I received from Kendra Jordan. She also used the Whimsical Words SAB set (p. 8), along with the Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch (p. 10) and the Sweet Pea DSP Pack (p. 33) in the Occasions Mini. The colors she used were Pretty In Pink, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, & Rose Red.

The card above was made by Stephanie Sullivan. She also used the Whimsical Words SAB set (p. 8). She also used the SU! Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder (p. 35) from the Occasions Mini. The other stamp set she used was All in the Family (p. 84 in big catty). The colors she used were Pretty In Pink, Basic Black, & Whisper White.

Stephanie Sullivan also made the card above with the Whimsical Words SAB set (p. 8). She also used the Welcome Neighbor DSP pack (p. 7) in the SAB brochure. The colors she used were Barely Banana, Old Olive, Rose Red, & Cameo Coral.

The card above was made by Diana Eichfeld. She used the Vintage Labels SAB set (p. 4). She also used the Scallop Circle and 3/4" Circle punches (p. 186 in big catty) to punch out the label. The other stamp set she used was Razzle Dazzle (p. 94), and the designer paper is Razzleberry Lemonade (p. 162). The colors she used were Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, & Whisper White.

I also made a card using the Whimsical Words set, and you can see it HERE.

Happy Moments SAB Set

Tomorrow is the last day of Sale-A-Bration! Today, I'm going to share a card I made for my technique club and 4 cards that other demonstrators have made that I received in 2 swaps I was in. They were made with the Happy Moments SAB set (p. 5 in the SAB brochure).

The card above is the one I made. The flowers were first stamped in VersaMark and then heat embossed with Black EP. They were then colored in with Stampin' Pastel chalks mixed in a little water and then into Crystal Effects. This technique is called Crystal Effects Glaze. The flowers are shiny in real life. The colors used were So Saffron, Basic Gray, Pretty In Pink, & Certainly Celery. The designer paper is Tea Party DSP.

The card above was made by one of my stamping buddies, Mandy Holzhausen. She's got a wonderful blog, too, called Paper Inklings. You should check it out! The colors that she used are Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, and Dusty Durango.

Mandy also made the card above. She used the colors Bermuda Bay, So Saffron, & Old Olive.

The card above was made by another stampin' buddy of mine, Kendra Jordan. She has just started a blog, too. It's called Stamps Ink & Paper. The colors she used are Soft Suede, Gable Green, and Bermuda Bay. She also used the SAB punch, Scallop Trim Border punch.

The last card above was one I received in a swap I joined on SCS (Splitcoaststampers). The lady that made it didn't put her name on the back of the card, so I can't give her credit for the card. The colors she used are Soft Suede, Certainly Celery, Melon Mambo, & I think, Apricot Appeal.
Another SAB stamp set is Good Neighbor (p. 6 in the SAB brochure). I don't have any new cards to share, but I do have a couple I've posted before, along with a scrapbook page. You can find the cards HERE and HERE. The scrapbook page can be found HERE. The page also uses the SAB DSP pack, Welcome Neighbor (p. 7 in the SAB brochure).

Where Are My Pictures?

I'm sorry that most of my pictures are not showing up today. Blogger is having some problems with pictures today. You're probably finding this out when going to other Blogspot blogs. Hopefully they'll get it fixed by tomorrow, so I can post the pictures I wanted to post today. See you all tomorrow...hopefully!

He's Back!

My cute Easter Bunny is back. I had to make a Make & Take for a Girls Scout Leader/Daughter event last Saturday. I was asked to come up with a little Easter bag that the mothers and daughters could make. I just had to make one with my little guy!

The bag itself is made with the SU! Fancy Favor Bigz XL die. After running the 6" x 12" Gable Green card stock through the Big Shot, I stamped the butterflies image from the Sprinkles set all over the bag using Gable Green ink. Then, I put a strip of DSP across the middle of the bag, and put it together. The handle was made from the top strip that is left of the Gable Green card stock after cutting out the bag. I then attached the handle with a silver brad on each side, making sure the wavy edge was facing the front to the bag. Then I attached my little bunny on the front. CLICK HERE to see how I made the bunny.

Sweet Pea Felt Birthday Card

I am so in love with the "Sweet Pea" line that Stampin' Up! has in the Occasions Mini! The paper and the stitched felt are so wonderful! The felt is so easy to put on with Mini Glue Dots, and you won't believe how great each design is in the big paper pack.

I made the card below for a good friend of mine almost 2 weeks ago. Are you wondering how I made the Melon Mambo mat for the "Happy Birthday" oval? Well, it's made with the Wide Oval Punch, just like the white birthday oval, but I cut the Melon Mambo one in half. Then I attached each half to the back of each end of the white oval, making sure the Melon Mambo one showed up on each end. I also made sure that the flat side that I cut was completely under the white oval. I've seen this done with the Modern Label punch, but I never saw it done with the Wide Oval. I'm glad I tried it!

Vintage Layouts #4

This is the last of my vintage layouts...for now anyway. I hope you've enjoyed seeing them!

I used the Bride Specialty Paper for this layout. Why isn't it white, you ask? I inked up my brayer with Cameo Coral ink and rolled it all over the paper. I kept re-inking and spreading the ink on until I got the look I wanted. The foil swirls resist the ink, giving it a cool effect. I love that I can make this paper any color I want to match my projects, and still have the foil swirls shine!

If you look closely, you'll see that the butterflies are dry embossed. After running card stock through my Big Shot with the Beautiful Butterflies die, I ran the butterflies through again using one of the SU! Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates. I really like the texture.

Vintage Layouts #3

Here is another layout that I made last weekend. I hope you've been enjoying these layouts. I only have one more to show you, and I'll post that on Monday.

This designer paper, Cottage Wall DSP, is my favorite one right now. I love the colors and images on it. It looks good on vintage projects, but it looks great with contemporary projects as well.

I also got to play with my Big Shot again. My Big Shot definitely gets a workout! I use it all of the time! If you look closely, you can see that I put half pearls from the Pretties Kit in the center of each dry embossed flower. I used the Embosslits die, Simple Flower, to make the flowers. I really like how the Embosslits die-cut and dry emboss at the same time.

Vintage Layouts #2

Here is the first layout I made this past weekend. I got the color combo idea from the current Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog (pp. 144-145). I keep all of my past Idea Book & Catalogs for inspiration. They are a wonderful resource for project ideas. This year's is crammed full of ideas.

Would you like to get this year's Idea Book & Catalog free? All you have to do is book a workshop before June 30. I'm getting ready to book workshops for April, so now is a perfect time to book your own workshop if you're interested. Not only do you get the catalog free (valued @ $10), but you also can earn free Stampin' Up! products and hostess only items. During April, a qualifying workshop of at least $350 in sales (before shipping & tax) will earn an extra stamp set that's going to be in the new Idea Book & Catalog coming in July. You'll also get all of the projects that I make at your workshop. I demo 4 projects, and everyone makes 2 of them. If this sounds like fun (and you live in Central Indiana), please CONTACT ME to schedule your "Ladies Night Out" today!

Vintage Layouts #1

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Here is one of the layouts that I've made for my husband's family scrapbook. I actually didn't make this one last weekend. It's one of the layouts I made at the 48 hour retreat my church had back in January. I've been working on this album for a long time, and I'm so close to being finished! This was the first layout I made of Ken's mother's side of the family. The letters for the title are made of chipboard. I didn't do anything to them. The color of the chipboard worked great with the page colors I was using. Remember, just click on the pictures to see larger images.

Wedding Card

I made this card for my niece's wedding reception this last Saturday. It's also the first project I made at the Stampin' & Scrappin' event I went to this past weekend @ my church. It's so much fun to get-together with friends and scrap! It's the only card I made at the event. I also made 3 two-page layouts for the scrapbook I've been working on for my husband. Only three more 2-page layouts and I'm finished! I'll share the layouts I made throughout the week.

I first made the card without the butterflies, but thought it needed something. I really loved how it looked once I added the butterflies.

The background on the Old Olive piece was made with the leaves on the tree stamp in the Thoughts & Prayers set. I stamped them with Old Olive ink. Then I punched the bottom with the Eyelet Border punch. After running the Naturals White card stock through my Big Shot using the Top Note Bigz Die, I cut along the perforated lines to make it smaller. Then I die-cut another Top Note out of Rich Razzleberry and attached the white Top Note to it. The flowers were inked up with Melon Mambo and Old Olive markers. The "Congratulations" was stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink. I die-cut the butterflies with the Beautiful Wings Embosslits die using Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry card stock, and layered them. The card base was made with textured Melon Mambo card stock.
