Card Drawer Box Set

I love these Card Drawer Boxes! I found the instructions on how to make the box on SCS. I was surprised how easy it was to make. When I saw these, I decided I just had to have a class on making these. So, that's what I'm doing! I'll be having this class on Friday, August 27 @ 6:30 p.m. To find out more, you can go to my EVENTS CALENDAR.

Below is the one that I made for this class. Not only will everyone be making the drawer box, they'll also be making 10 coordinating cards to go inside. Everyone will be making 5 of the Concord Crush cards and 5 of the Pretty In Pink cards. 10 envelopes are also included.

Another view of the Drawer Box. The drawer knob is one of the new Antique Brads in the new catalog. Remember, if you want to see a bigger image of any of these pictures, just click on them.

Card Drawer Box open. All 10 cards with envelopes are inside.

Close-up of the flower. I learned how to make this flower from Lisa Freeman's blog. I made it a little larger by adding 2 extra layers to the bottom of the flower. I added a pink and vanilla scallop circle made using the new larger 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch.

Cute Little Mushrooms

Here is another quick and easy card that I made for the swap I was in last week. I used the new, little, cute set, Funky Four. I love the cute mushrooms in this set. The bottom of the card needed a little something, so I added little flowers along the bottom. I used the same color ink as the card stock (Daffodil Delight). It's hard to believe how something so easy can make a card look so much better!

The blue strip is actually two strips punched out with the new Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. I wanted the dotted scallops to show on the top and bottom of the ribbon, so I had to make it fatter. I just put one on top of the other, and then tied the ribbon to cover where the two strips met.

Stamps: Funky Four and Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso Classic pads; Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, & Marina Mist Stampin' Write markers

Paper: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, & Marina Mist card stock

Accessories: Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and Poppy Parade 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon

Tropical Birthday

I got to do some more stamping yesterday. I haven't been able to use the stamp set, Tropical Party, as much as I would like to, so I wanted to make a card with it. I CASED this card from DiannaJ on SCS. You can see her card HERE. If you like this set, you'll need to order it pretty soon. It's only available until August 30th! You can order it online by clicking the "Order Anytime" icon at the bottom of this post.

I love the Square Lattice Impressions folder with this stamp set. They go so good together! If you look closely, I also sponged Soft Suede ink onto the embossed images. The "Happy Birthday" was punched out with the Curly Label Punch. I punched out another Curly Label from Old Olive card stock, and put it behind and a little higher than the white one. Then, I tucked the bottom half of the labels behind the DSP strip. I sponged the sky with Baja Breeze ink, and then sponged the edges of the tree piece with Soft Suede ink. The tree pieced was always put onto the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Stamps: Tropical Party (Mini) & Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Soft Suede, Old Olive, & Baja Breeze Classic ink pads, Old Olive & Soft Suede Stampin' Write Markers

Paper: Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, & Naturals White card stock; Island Oasis DSP (Mini)

Accessories: Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, SU! Square Lattice Impressions Folder, 3/8" Twill Tape, Curly Label Punch, Stamping Sponges, & Stampin' Dimensionals

New Set - Just Believe

I'm sorry that I haven't posted in a long time. I can't believe it's been over a week! Last week was a big one for our family. Our oldest is getting ready for college. She had her placement test last Monday, and then my husband and I went to orientation with her last Friday. I can't believe I have a kid in college! We also got to thinking about our other two kids. They're both in high school, now. No one left in elementary or middle school! Boy, I feel old! LOL

I was in a little swap last week, so I did get some stamping done, too. This is one of the cards I made. It is a very quick and easy card to make. I love using Stampin' Up!'s Impression Folders. They really spruce up a simple card.

I love this new set, too! I fell in love with it the moment I saw it in the new catalog! This year, Stampin' Up! gave us a few days of the new catalog to redeem the free sets we earned during Sale-A-Bration on new sets if we wanted to. I took them up on it, and got three great sets! I love getting free sets! Being a demonstrator is wonderful!

Stamps: Just Believe

Ink: Cherry Cobbler Classic ink pad; Cherry Cobbler & Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Markers

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Early Espresso, & Very Vanilla card stock

Accessories: Big Shot die-cut machine, Vintage Wallpaper Impressions folder, Eyelet Border Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Vintage Trinkets, & Stampin' Dimensionals.

Above is a close-up of the button-type brads that are in the Antique Trinkets set. I love how they look! I'll be using these a lot!

Tomorrow is my New Catalog Debut Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Below are the two projects that are being made. I'll also have a couple door prizes and Debut-only specials. All of my retired stuff will also be on sale @ least 40% off! This event is FREE! If you live in Central Indiana and would like to attend, please let me know by 5 p.m. (EST) tonight.

As you can see, the card is a lot like yesterday's post. All I did was turn the card a quarter turn, put the flower in a different place, and didn't use the brad. Three little changes, and a whole different look!

Happy Anniversary, Dad & Mom

Today is my parents' 43rd wedding anniversary! I made this card for them, and they'll be getting it later today. Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad!

I have fallen in love with this Level One hostess set, and just had to use it for their card. I also used some new goodies I got yesterday from the new catalog. I used the new Antique Brads, Victoria Crochet Trim, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, & Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder. I got the color combo from the front of the new color coach. I think I'll be using this color combo a lot. I love it!

I'm still looking for July and August hostesses! If you would like to get this stamp set, you can only do it by hosting a workshop. It's so much fun to spend an evening stamping with friends and family! If you live in Central Indiana and are interested in having some stamping fun, (earning free Stampin' Up! stuff in the process), please CONTACT ME today! I'd love to do a workshop for you!
