Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the day with family and friends! I'm so thankful to God for everything He has blessed me with...my husband, our kids, our home, and SO much more.
I wanted to share a card that would make a good Thanksgiving card. I used this month's Creating Pretty Cards Sketch #17 to make this card. I'm still so in love with this stamp set (Perfectly Preserved, p. 29 in the Holiday Catalog). This is the first time I've used the corn cob stamp, and I really like it. I inked the stamp up with Lucky Limeade, More Mustard, and Cajun Craze Stampin' Write Markers, and stamped it on Very Vanilla card stock. After doing this three times, I die-cut each of them with the Cannery Set Framelits dies (p. 29 - Holiday Catalog).
I ran the More Mustard layer through the Big Shot (p. 186) with the Fancy Fan Impressions folder (p. 189). I attached it to the Early Espresso card base. I die-cut one of the long edges of a Early Espresso strip with one of the Finishing Touches Edgelits dies (p. 190), and then attached a smaller strip of Orchard Harvest DSP (p. 28 Holiday Catalog) onto it. I then attached the three corn cobs.
I stamped the "just for you" banner from the same stamp set onto some Lucky Limeade card stock in Early Espresso ink. I then die-cut it with the Bitty Banners Framelits dies (p. 191). I put a Stampin' Dimensional onto the back, center of it, and put Snail Adhesive on each end, and attached it to the card. I made sure that I pressed down on the ends so they are attached to the card. I did it this way to make it look like it's flying in the breeze!
