Bloomin' Marvelous Sale-A-Bration Set

As you're reading this, I'm getting ready to leave for a 48 hour Stampin' & Scrappin' Retreat that my church has every year.  I'm so looking forward to it.  I really need this relaxing time with good friends!  I'm posting this card today, and I'll schedule another one to post tomorrow while I'm gone.  I hope you enjoy them!

 

This is the first card I've made with the beautiful Bloomin' Marvelous SAB stamp set (SAB brochure).  I love stamp sets that have both images and greetings.  This card is so quick and easy to make.  This was one of the cards made at my SAB Open House last Saturday.  I think it was just about every one's favorite!

 

I inked up the flower with the More Mustard ink pad, removed the ink from the flower center with a Blender Pen (p. 178), and then colored the flower middle again with an Early Espresso marker.  I did the same with the other flowers, but used Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive ink pads.  The saying was stamped in Early Espresso ink.  I then attached the stamped Whisper White layer onto Early Espresso card stock.  I then tied a piece of Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon (p. 172) across the top, and then attached it to the Old Olive card base.  I told you it was quick and easy!
