This is the card that I made my husband for Father's Day. I really like this stamp set! It's called Clockworks (p. 109). The greeting came from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set (p. 44).
I stamped the clock onto a scrap of Naturals Ivory card stock with Early Espresso ink. I colored it in with a Soft Suede marker, and cut it out freehand with Paper Snips (p. 177). I then stamped the clock-face numbers onto a scrap piece of Naturals Ivory card stock with Midnight Muse ink, and then stamped the clock hands onto the center of the clock face with Early Espresso ink. I punched the clock face out with the 1-1/4" Circle Punch (p. 182), and attached it to the center of the clock. I then covered the clock face with a thin layer of Crystal Effects (p. 174), and set it aside to dry. It's hard to tell in the picture, but this makes the clock face shine like a real clock glass cover would. I then stamped the medium-sized gear from the Clockworks set onto a piece of Naturals Ivory card stock with Midnight Muse ink. I then stamped it again with Early Espresso ink, and again with Baked Brown Sugar ink. I then cut the three gears out freehand with Paper Snips. Set these aside until later.
I colored in the images of the Natural Composition Specialty DSP (p. 150) with a Midnight Muse marker, and attached it to the bottom of a piece of Naturals Ivory card stock, leaving a little border around the bottom and sides. I die-cut one of the long sides of a strip of Midnight Muse card stock with the Large Scallop Edgelits die (p. 188). I attached it to the bottom and back of a piece of Venetian Romance DSP (p. 153), and then attached it all above the Natural Composition paper. I then embossed a piece of Naturals Ivory card stock with the Houndstooth embossing folder (p. 191), and sponged Soft Suede ink across the embossed design. I then attached it above the DSP strips. I then wrapped a piece of Midnight Muse 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon (p. 173) around the top of the DSP, attaching the ribbon ends to the back with SNAIL adhesive. I then attached it all to the Midnight Muse card base.
I punched out a circle from Naturals Ivory card stock with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch (p. 182), and stamped it with the argyle background stamp from the Clockworks set with Baked Brown Sugar ink. I stamped the greeting onto a strip of Naturals Ivory card stock in Midnight Muse ink. I punched one of the ends with the corner of the 1" Square Punch (p. 180) to make it a banner. I sponged the edges of the banner with Baked Brown Sugar ink, and attached the straight end onto the back of the argyle circle.
I then punched out a scallop circle from Midnight Muse card stock with the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch (p. 182). I put a post-it note strip onto the scallop circle to make a handle to hold onto, and punched the piece with the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch again, putting the points between the scallops of the punch into the middle of the scallops in the card stock. I embossed it with the Square Lattice embossing folder (p. 191). I then attached the argyle circle with the greeting banner to the center it. I then attached it to the right side of the card, making sure the banner is along the top of the ribbon.
Once the Crystal Effects was dry on the clock, I attached a brad from the Vintage Trinkets pack (p. 170) to the center of the clock hands. I attached the clock to the right side of the circle with Stampin' Dimensionals (p. 175). I attached Vintage Trinket brads to the center of the three clock gears, and attached them around the clock as pictured with Stampin' Dimensionals, too.
