My CPC Project - Rustic Wedding Table Décor – August Bonus Project

Today's Craft Project Central project is the August Bonus project, and it was designed by ME!  I had so much fun making these projects.  I know you would, too! I have a free month CPC subscription to give away. Read below to learn how.

Rustic wedding themes are all the rage right now, and these three projects would make wonderful rustic decorations for it.  Learn how to make a mason jar rustic-looking, to tint a mason jar, and make two different types of roses with punches.

If you would like to learn how to make this project, you'll want to subscribe for the month of August AND qualify for the bonus project.  With your subscription, you'll get illustrated, step-by-step instructions for 10 wonderful projects for only $10!  You can find out how to gain access to this bonus eleventh project over at Craft Project Central.

Great news! I have a month Craft Project Central subscription to give away! All you need to do is leave a comment at Craft Project Central on THE POST FEATURING MY PROJECT, and you'll be entered into the drawing. I'll announce the winner here on Monday, September 8.

Festival of Trees MOJO360

Today's card was made using this week's Mojo Monday sketch, MOJO360. I made it on Monday, but this is the first chance I've had to post it. I'm having fun making cards with my new Holiday Catalog sets. This is the first card that I've made with my Festival of Trees set. It's the first time I've used my Endless Wishes set, too, which was used for the greeting. You'll be able to order these great Holiday Catalog products beginning tomorrow!

I don't plan to use this card in any of my camps, so I'm going to share the dimensions and instructions on how to make it. The card base is made with a 7" x 5-1/2" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock folded in half.

I then cut out a 3-1/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Baked Brown Sugar card stock and a 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). I then attached the DSP to the left side of the Baked Brown Sugar piece. Cut a 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Early Espresso card stock, and run it through the Big Shot with the Stylish Stripes folder. Then, die-cut an oval out of a 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of Very Vanilla card stock with the third-smallest die from the Ovals Collection Framelits. Stamp "Merry Christmas" from the Endless Wishes stamp set onto the top of the oval using Cherry Cobbler ink. Attach the oval to the middle of the Early Espresso piece, and then attach it to the center of the Baked Brown Sugar/DSP piece. Cut a 5" piece of Mossy Meadow Stitched Satin ribbon, and wrap it around the piece, placing it near the bottom of the oval, and attaching the ribbon ends to the back of the piece. Then, attach it to the Mossy Meadow card base.

Stamp the pine tree stamp from the Festival of Trees stamp set onto a scrap piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock with Mossy Meadow ink. Punch it out with the Tree Punch. Stamp the star stamp from the same set onto a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock with Crushed Curry ink. Then, punch it out with the small star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, and attach it to the top of the tree with a Glue Dot. Then, attach the tree onto the bottom left side of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To finish the card, stamp the cardinal stamp from the same stamp set using Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry ink.  Since the stamp is photopolymer, I was able to see through the stamp to ink it up with the two ink pads. I lined the edge of the Cherry Cobbler ink pad just under the beak to ink the body, and then lined the beak with the edge of the Crushed Curry ink pad. Then, I stamped it just above the ribbon. Then, I attached one of the largest Cherry Cobbler button from the Regals Designer Buttons to the bottom right corner of the Early Espresso card stock with a Glue Dot.  That's it!

Links to each of the products at my ONLINE STORE, minus the Holiday Catalog products, are below. I'll add links to the Holiday Catalog items on Thursday when the catalog goes live.

Stamps:  Festival of Trees and Endless Wishes (both Holiday Catalog)

Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, and, Crushed Curry Classic pads

Fall Fest CPC 38 Card

I was finally able to play along with this month's Craft Project Central sketch, Creating Pretty Card #38 (CPC38). I really love this month's sketch! It was designed by the VERY talented Regina Andari

You really should play along, too! If you made a card using the sketch, post it to your blog or other online forum (like Splitcoaststampers). Make sure to use CPC38 as a keyword. Then go to the CPC38 Post, and use the link in the post to add your card. Make sure to read the other "do's" and the "don'ts" listed in the CPC38 post. When you play along, you could win a free month Craft Project Central subscription of your choice! Make sure you get your card submitted by August 31, when the sketch ends. Winner (or winners) will be announced within the first few days of September.

I rotated the sketch clockwise a quarter-turn with my card. I just had to use one of my other new Holiday Catalog stamp sets, Fall Fest.  This set also has a coordinating Framelits die set called Fun Fall Framelits. I'm a sucker for the stamp sets that have coordinating dies and punches. The greeting is from a new hostess set, Good Greetings. It's part of a great promo that begins on August 28 when the Holiday Catalog begins. When a host has a $300 workshop or higher (before shipping & tax), she (or he) automatically gets this wonderful stamp set.  Each of the 19 greetings has the same font as the stamp I used on this card. I love it!

Card Tips:  The card was made with a 6" x 6" piece of Soft Suede card stock folded in half. The acorn embellishment on the bottom right of the card is a new embellishment from the Holiday Catalog called Autumn Wooden Elements.  They come in a light-color wood. I colored mine by pressing the acorn into a Baked Brown Sugar ink pad. Once it was the color I wanted, I colored the top part of the acorn (minus the stem) with an Early Espresso marker. I then attached it onto the card with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Below is the list of supplies I used to make this card, along with links to each product at my ONLINE STORE.  Holiday Catalog products don't have links yet, since they aren't available to purchase yet. You don't have too long to wait, though...they become available next Thursday, August 28!

Stamps:  Fall Fest* (Holiday) and Good Greetings (Hostess & Holiday)

Paper:  Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, and Very Vanilla card stock

Accessories:  Mossy Meadow 3/8" Stitched Satin ribbon, Big Shot, Fun Fall Framelits dies*, Autumn Wooden Elements, and Stampin' Dimensionals

*When the Holiday Catalog comes out, the Fall Fest stamp set and the Fun Fall Framelits can be purchased together as a bundle for 15% off!
