Wondrous Wreath Ornament - CPC42

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you're all having a wonderful Christmas season! I just finished up my shopping yesterday, so I'm pretty happy!

I took a little time this morning to participate in this month's Creating Pretty Cards Sketch #42. There's a new twist on the sketch this month. It's an ornament sketch! Actually, it could be used as a card, too, but I went with the ornament idea. If you play along with us, you could win a FREE month Craft Project Central subscription of your choice! You have until December 31 to join in the fun!

As always, I have the supply list for the ornament at the end of this post. If you're reading this post through a feed or email, you'll need to go to the actual post on my blog to see it. For some reasone, the program I use to display the supplies doesn't show up in the feed.

The Cherry Cobbler scallop circle base was die-cut with the scallop circle die in the Circles Collection Framelits Dies. The Under the Tree DSP circle was die-cut with the largest regular circle die in the same Framelits set. The wreath, bow/ribbon, and "Noel" were all die-cut with the dies in the Wonderful Wreath Framelits set.

I had a very hard time getting a good enough picture to show how glittery and pretty the "Noel" is. I die-cut it from Champagne Glimmer Paper. I attached it to the wreath by putting glue on the back of the "N" and "l" with the 2-Way Glue Pen. It's really pretty and sparkly in person. I also attached the die-cut wreath and ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Gold 1/8" Ribbon was threaded through a hole punched in the top of the ornament with the 1/8" Circle Handheld Punch, and I tied the ribbon ends together with a double knot.

CPC Snow Day Party

Here's a cute snowy Craft Project Central project, and it's designed by Buffy Cooper. You can see more of her creations on her blog, Stamping With Buffy.

Unless you live near the equator – or Florida – you’re going to have snow in the winter.  It’s inevitable, so you might as well enjoy it and have a party!  Here are some fun – and “out of the box” - ways to use the Gift Box Punch Board and All Is Calm suite from the 2014 Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog to make party favor boxes and a basket of snow party refreshments.  Add a fun invitation and a sparkly snow banner using the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit, and you’ll have the best party ever.  If you live in an area that doesn’t get much snow, or your party is in the spring or summer, it’s easy to switch it to a “no snow” or beach party just by changing the designer series paper and colors.
