Guy Greetings Father's Day Card

Today's card is the card I made for my dad for Father's Day. I LOVE this stamp set, Guy Greetings! It's the perfect card for masculine projects. This has definitely become my go-to stamp set for masculine cards. I used it to make my hubby's Father's Day card, too. I'll be posting that card on Sunday.

Instructions:
  1. I embossed a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Sahara Sand cardstock by running it through the Big Shot with the new Brick Wall embossing folder.
  2. I attached a 5-1/4" x 2" piece of Timeless Elegance DSP to the bottom of the brick layer. I then wrapped a 7" piece of Lost Lagoon Striped Cotton Ribbon around the top of the DSP, and attached the ribbon ends to the back of the brick layer.  I then attached it to the Sahara Sand card base (a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece, folded in half).
  3. I took a 2" x 5" strip of Very Vanilla cardstock, and punched one end of it with the Ornate Tag Topper Punch. I stamped the hats stamp and the greeting stamp from the Guy Greetings set onto the piece with a Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad. I then stamped the splatter stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set all over the piece with a Sahara Sand ink pad. I then tore the straight end of the tag, and sponged all of the edges with Sahara Sand ink.
  4. I took a few 4" strands of Linen Thread, and folded them in half. I inserted the loop-side into the tag hole, starting from the front to the back, and thread the loose ends of the thread through the loop, and pulled it tight to secure it to the tag. I then attached a medium Silver Basic Metal Button to the tag with a Mini Glue Dot. Last, I attached the tag to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
