My CPC Christmas Tags & Ornament in a Box - Bonus Project

Today's Craft Project Central project is this month's Bonus project, and it's designed by ME! I had so much fun making these Christmas tags, ornament and box to hold them all in!

It’s time to get ready for Christmas! This project would make a wonderful gift, and anyone would love to receive it. While you’re at it, make one for yourself, too. The tutorial includes a decorated box with a window, and has five compartments to hold 20 tags and a Christmas ornament. It also includes four different tag designs, and five are made of each. It includes a little Christmas ornament, too. The project features the Snow Place and Embellished Ornament Stamp Sets, along with their coordinating dies.

If you would like to see and learn how to make this bonus project, you'll want to subscribe for the month of October, AND qualify for the bonus project. Bonus projects can be obtained by subscribing to two or more months in a row, putting the Craft Project Central badge on your blog, or by referring a friend and when they subscribe, letting CPC know. Embellished Ornaments SAS Card

I just realized that I never posted the cards that were made at my Christmas Stamp-A-Stack. Here is one of my favorites. I CASEd this one from Amy Koenders. As you can see, I only made a few minor changes to Amy's card. I would have never thought to put Basic Black and Tip Top Taupe together! They are beautiful together. I love how elegant this Christmas card looks.

Instructions:
  1. Fold a 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic Black cardstock in half to form the card base.
  2. Cut one 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Tip Top Taupe, and emboss the piece with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder. Attach it to the center of the card base.
  3. Cut one 3" x 3" piece of Tip Top Taupe cardstock and one 3" x 3" piece of pine cone vellum from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack. Attach the vellum to the cardstock. Cut one 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" piece of Basic Black cardstock, and attach the vellum to the center of it. Then, attach it to the center of the card.
  4. Cut one 3-3/4" x 7/8" piece of Basic Black cardstock and one 3-5/8" x 3/4" piece of Tip Top Taupe cardstock. Stamp the greeting from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set to the left end of the Tip Top Taupe piece using the Basic Black Archival Pad, and attach it to the Basic Black piece. Attach this to the bottom part of the vellum, centering it left and right on the card.
  5. Cut one 2-1/4" x 3-3/4" piece of Tip Top Taupe cardstock. Stamp the tall, skinny ornament stamp onto the piece using the Basic Black Archival Pad. Die-cut it with the coordinating die from the Delicate Ornaments Thinlits.
  6. Die-cut the poinsettia die and ornament topper die in the Delicate Ornaments Thinlits from a scrap piece of Gold Foil Sheets. Attach the topper with two Mini Glue Dots. Attach the poinsettia to the center of the ornament using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. Attach the ornament to the right side of the vellum, using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  7. Cut one 4" piece of Basic Black 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon. Tie into a single knot, and attach it to the ornament topper with a Mini Glue Dot.

12 Weeks of Fall & Halloween - Week #12

I'm sorry that I couldn't get this posted yesterday. I got it finished in time, but I was at a scrapbooking crop all day yesterday. The school where it was at had internet, but it wasn't working the whole day! It was a great day, though. I did a Christmas card class, and got to hang out with a great group of women. It's so much more fun making projects with a group of friends.

This is the last 12 Weeks of Fall & Halloween projects. I can't believe all 12 are done, now. I'm planning to start 12 Projects for Christmas starting on Friday. I'll be posting two project tutorials a week. One of the two projects will be a quick and easy Christmas card that can be easily mass produced. The other project will be a special Christmas project. I hope you'll like them.

The ladies at the crop really liked this bag, and I hope you do, too. I'm really happy with how it turned out. The bag features the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set and Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies. I also used the Into the Woods Designer Series Paper and Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies.

CPC Fall/Christmas Mantle Decor Ensemble

Today's Craft Project Central project is designed by Julie Warnick, and you can see more of her creations on Julie's Blog.

Fall is finally here and Christmas is just around the corner! What better way to celebrate the changing seasons than with this Fall/Christmas Mantle Décor Ensemble! The accordion style banner sits beautifully on a mantle or shelf to welcome fall into your home. Perfectly coordinated votive candles with tiny, dangling autumn leaves border the banner on either side. And can you guess the best part? Just flip the banner around and switch the dangling leaves on the candles for trees and stars and you are ready for Christmas! The banner folds up and fits nicely between the two candles inside the custom gift box. The gift box is also a great way to store the décor each year when not in use. Two matching greeting cards top off this festive ensemble.

Peaceful Pines SAS Card

Today's card is one of the cards that will be made at my Christmas Card Stamp-A-Stack tomorrow. I used this month's Creating Pretty Card Sketch #52 for this card. There's still time to play along with the sketch, and get the chance to win a free month Craft Project Central subscription. If you make a card using the card sketch, post it to your blog or other online forum (ie Splitcoast Stampers), and then link it to the CPC52 post. Your name will then be added to the drawing. For every 10 cards submitted, a winner will be drawn. If a designer submits a card, her card will count towards the 10, but they won't be put into the drawing.

This is the first card I've made with this stamp set. I really like how it turned out. It's also a quick card that is easy to make multiples of.

Tips:
  1. The Mossy Meadow tree was die-cut with the die that makes little triangles into the cardstock from the Perfect Pines Framelits Dies. It gives it a 3D effect.
  2. The top, Pear Pizzazz tree was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  3. The strip across the middle of the card is washi tape from the Season of Cheer Designer Washi Tape.
  4. The Whisper White layer is embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder.
  5. It's hard to see in the picture, but the Soft Sky layer was stamped with the little snowflake stamp from the set, using Soft Sky ink.
