Short & Sweet Saturday - What I Love Card

Here's this week's Short & Sweet Saturday card. This card uses the same layout-type as yesterday's card. It may be the same layout, but doesn't look like a totally different card? I love how you can get different looks with the same layout.

If you're new to my Short & Sweet Saturdays, this is what they are. I share a card that can be made quickly every Saturday, and include complete instructions on how to make it. So, if you like to get quick and easy card ideas, please come back every Saturday. You can check out my previous Short & Sweet cards HERE.

Instructions:
  • Fold a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock in half to make the card base. Attach a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White Cardstock to the middle of the card.
  • Attach a 5-1/4" x 1-1/2" piece of floral vellum from the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack (Sale-A-Bration item) to a piece of 5-1/4" x 1-3/4" piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock. Attach the strip across the middle of the Whisper White layer on the card base.
  • Stamp three flowers onto the left and bottom sides of a 3-1/2" x 2-1/4" piece of Whisper White Cardstock using all three flower layer stamps in the What I Love Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration item) with a Bermuda Bay Classic Stampin' Pad. Here's how to stamp the flowers.
Ink the largest bold flower layer stamp with the Bermuda Bay ink pad. Stamp it onto a scrap piece of paper twice, and then stamp it onto the cardstock.
Ink the smallest bold flower layer stamp with the Bermuda Bay ink pad. Stamp it onto a scrap piece of paper once, and then stamp it on top of the first flower layer.
Ink the outline flower layer stamp with the Bermuda Bay ink pad, and stamp it directly on top of the previous flower layers.

  • Stamp the branch stamp from the stamp set two or three times and the double-leaf stamp a few times around the flowers using an Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad. Refer to the card pictures for placement.
  • Stamp the "Know what I love?" and the "You" stamps to the right of the flowers using a Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad.
  • Attach the flower layer to a 3-3/4" x 2-1/2" piece of Old Olive Cardstock, and then attach it all to the center of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Attach one flower embellishment from the Botanical Garden Jewels Embellishments with a Mini Glue Dot.

Pedal Pusher Stamp Camp Card

I'm in love with the new Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set, Pedal Pusher! I had so much fun making this card, so I know I'll be using it for a long time! This is going to be one of the cards that will be made at my Last Chance Sale-A-Bration Stamp Camp on March 10.

Tips:
  1. The card front's bottom corners are punched with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch.
  2. A 3/4" wide strip of Crushed Curry cardstock is attached to the bottom of the inside of the card, so the openings in the punched corners are colorful when the card is closed.
  3. The washi tape strips are cut flush with the edges of the card.
  4. The images are colored in with Classic Stampin' Pads and a Blender Pen.
  5. Once the bike layer is matted with the Mint Macaron Cardstock, it's attached to the middle of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

If you would like to own this stamp set, you'll need to place a $50 order (before shipping & tax) by March 31st! Once you've reached the $50 amount in the shopping bag at my online store, you'll see a line in the Special Deals box that you have earned a free Sale-A-Bration item. This is where you'll redeem your Sale-A-Bration item. You earn a free Sale-A-Bration item of your choice with every $50 placed on an individual order.

CPC Wedding Book/Album with Bookmark & Greeting Card

Today's Craft Project Central project is designed by Monika Davis, and you can see more of her creations on her blog, M.A.D. Stamper.

Make this elegant mini wedding book that will be cherished for a lifetime. This little piece could serve as the guest book or as a scrapbook to hold pictures. Either way, it is the perfect addition to a DIY style wedding. It comes with a coordinating bookmark and greeting card. While you are having fun crafting, learn an easy book binding technique. No need for a wedding set? Change the colors and turn the project into a birthday gift, or perhaps a travel journal set! This would also make a great sketch book for a youngster. Great for a stamp camp, or as a class project.

Grateful Bunch Card

Here's another card that will be made at my upcoming Celebrate Spring Stamp Camp. This is the first card I've made with the Grateful Bunch Stamp Set & coordinating punch, Blossom Bunch Punch. I can foresee a lot of projects being made with this bundle!

Tips:
  1. The card base is made from a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock and folded in half.
  2. The Venetian Crochet Trim was attached under the DSP layer, and trimmed to be the same length as the DSP.
  3. The lace stamp was stamped across the top of the card front, a little over an inch below the fold. Then, the DSP/crochet trim layer was added.
  4. The largest flower was stamped in the bottom, right corner, and then the leaf branches were stamped on. I only put ink on the top part of the leaf branch stamp, stopping with the bottom of the middle pair of leaves.
  5. I stamped the little blotches stamp from the Timeless Textures all around the flower and branches, stamping twice before re-inking.
  6. The large and small punched out flowers are attached to the card with Mini Glue Dots. The two, medium-sized punched out flowers are attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  7. I used all three sizes of the Rhinestone Basic Jewels on the flowers. The large ones were put on the large flowers, medium-sized ones on the medium-sized flowers, and the small ones on the small flowers.

Short & Sweet Saturday Postponed Due to Warm Weather!

I just got in after enjoying a 70 degree weather day here in Indiana! I had a very fun day with my oldest daughter, but I didn't plan on being out so long. We just couldn't make ourselves come back home. lol

With that said, I don't have time to post a Short & Sweet Saturday card, but I'll have one for you next week. The weather will be more like winter again, so it shouldn't be a problem! ;) In the meantime, I've got a video to share with you about the last of the three new Sale-A-Bration items that came out this week. I hope you enjoy it.

If you would like to own this stamp set, you'll need to place a $50 order (before shipping & tax) by March 31st! Once you've reached the $50 amount in the shopping bag at my online store, you'll see a line in the Special Deals box that you have earned a free Sale-A-Bration item. Easter Lamb Card & Another New SAB Item Video

Here is another card that will be made at my Celebrate Spring Stamp Camp later this month. I CASEd this card from one that Lisa Martz made. The only thing that is different is the Metal Rimmed Pearl on the banner.

Tips:
  1. Only ink the lamb on the stamp with the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad, and stamp it onto the Crumb Cake Cardstock. Clean the stamp. Then only ink the "happy easter" part of the stamp with the same ink, and stamp onto the bottom of the Whisper White layer.
  2. The wool on the sheep is colored in with the White Stampin' Chalk Marker. The legs, ears, and face of the lamb are colored in with the Pink Pirouette Marker. The cheeks of the lamb are colored in with the Blushing Bride Marker. The lamb's hooves are colored in with the Basic Gray Marker, and the grass is colored in with the Wild Wasabi Marker.
  3. The lamb is punched out with the 2-1/2"Circle Punch. The paper-piercing around the circle was done with the Updated Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack. The circle is also attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  4. The banner was die-cut with the smallest die in the Banners Framelits Dies.
  5. The largest pearl from the Metal Rimmed Pearls was used on the banner.

The supply list for this card is at the end of this post.

Here's a video that features another of the new Sale-A-Bration items that came out this week, Party Pants Stamp Set. This is such a super cute set, and will come in handy for all of your birthday card and scrapbook page projects!

If you would like to own this stamp set, you'll need to place a $50 order (before shipping & tax) by March 31st! Once you've reached the $50 amount in the shopping bag at my online store, you'll see a line in the Special Deals box that you have earned a free Sale-A-Bration item. Honeycomb Happiness Gift Card Holder

Here is a project that will be made at my Celebrate Spring Stamp Camp later this month. It's a gift card holder made with one of Stampin' Up!'s Kraft Tag A Bag Gift Bag and the Honeycomb Happiness Sale-A-Bration stamp set.

Tips:
  1. With the bottom, straight edge of the bag along the left side of the Simply Scored Scoring Tool, score the bag @ 3".
  2. Fold the bag along the score line, and staple each side in the middle once.
  3. The inside card for the message is 4-1/4" x 4".
  4. The gift card is put into the front pouch made after folding the bag and stapling the sides.
  5. The DSP strip covers up the staples. The ends of the DSP strip meet on the front, a little left of the center of the bag. The chick circle covers it up.
