Short & Sweet Saturday - Fresh Fruit

This week's Short & Sweet Saturday card features the stamp set, Fresh Fruit. Yes, I know there's no fruit on this card. There are two cute flower stamps in the set, and I used both of them. Actually there are actually four flower stamps. Two are outline stamps and the other two are solid stamps that coordinate with the outline stamps.

All of my Short & Sweet Saturday (S&SS) cards are quick and easy to make, so they're perfect if you need to make a card last minute. I always include complete instructions on how to make my Short & Sweet cards, too.

Card Instructions:
  1. Fold an 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Daffodil Delight Cardstock in half to form the card base.
  2. Stamp the large, solid flower stamp from the Fresh Fruit Stamp Set onto the top, left corner of a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White Cardstock using the Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad.
  3. Stamp the large, outline flower stamp on top of the flower using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp the largest, circle stamp onto the center of the flower using the same Memento Pad.
  4. Stamp the small, semi-solid flower stamp on each side of the Daffodil Delight flower using the Watermelon Wonder Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the small, outline flower stamp on top of each of these flowers with the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp the smallest, circle stamp onto the center of each flower using the Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad.
  5. Stamp the swirly leaf stamp around the flowers using the Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad (see pictures for placement).
  6. Stamp the "Love You More" stamp onto the right side of the piece using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. It should be around 1-1/4" from the bottom.
  7. Wrap a 6" piece of Watermelon Wonder 5/8" Mini Striped Ribbon around the bottom of the piece, and attach the ribbon ends onto the back of the piece. Tie another 6" piece of the ribbon onto the left side of the attached ribbon, tying it into a single knot.
  8. Attach the stamped piece to a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic Black Cardstock. Then, attach it all to the center of the Daffodil Delight card base.

Fresh Fruit Thank You Card

This is the first card I've made with this stamp set, Fresh Fruit. I love how the peach stamps look after stamping. The texture in the stamps is wonderful! The texture makes it look like the peaches are stamped in more than one color.

Card Instructions:
  1. Fold one 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Peekaboo Peach Cardstock in half to form the card base.
  2. Emboss a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Daffodil Delight Cardstock by running it through the Big Shot with the Petal Burst embossing folder. Sponge the raised petals with Daffodil Delight ink using a Sponge Dauber. Only the top half of the piece needs to be sponged.
  3. Stamp the "Thank You" stamp from the Fresh Fruit Stamp Set onto the bottom, right corner of a 4" x 3" piece of Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper (DSP) using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Attach the DSP to the bottom of the embossed piece.
  4. Cut a doily from the Delicate White Doilies in half, and attach it to the top, center of the DSP. Put the SNAIL Adhesive on the center, solid section of the doily, only.
  5. Wrap a 6" piece of Peekaboo Peach 3/8" Ruched Ribbon around the top of the DSP and doily, and attach the ribbon ends on the back of the embossed piece. Attach the whole thing to the Peekaboo Peach card base.
  6. Stamp the peach stamp onto a 4" x 2-1/2" piece of Whisper White Cardstock twice using the Peekaboo Peach Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the double leaf/stem stamp onto the top of each peach using the Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin' Pad. Cut the peaches out, freehand, with Paper Snips.
  7. Cut two 24" pieces of Linen Thread. Fold one of the pieces in half, and then in half again. This will leave make it about 6" in length. Tie it into a bow. Cut the loops apart on the two tails of the bow (keep the loops of the actual bow intact). Do the same with the other piece of thread. Attach a bow to each peach, using Mini Glue Dots.
  8. Attach one of the peaches onto the right side of the ribbon with SNAIL Adhesive. Attach the other peach to the left of the first peach with Stampin' Dimensionals (see pictures for placement).

Thoughtful Branches For You Hydrangea

I'm so in love with this Thoughtful Branches Bundle! It's gorgeous and so much fun to play with! This is the second card that I've made with it, and it is so different from the first one. You can see the first one HERE. I can't wait to make more with this great bundle.

This bundle will become available to customers on August 2, and will only be available until August 31. Don't forget about this month's promotion...Bonus Days. For every $50 (before shipping & tax) placed on an order, you'll receive a $5 coupon that can be redeemed in August. You can use your coupons for this great bundle (or anything else you want)! CLICK HERE to get all of the details about Bonus Days. This promo ends this Sunday, July 31.

Card Instructions:
  1. Fold an 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock in half to form the card base.
  2. Attach a 4" x 1-1/2" piece of Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper (DSP) onto the bottom of a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White Cardstock.
  3. Wrap a 6" piece of Very Vanilla 1/2" Lace Trim around the top of the DSP, and attach the trim ends to the back of the Whisper White layer. Line up the top part of the openings in the lace with the top edge of the DSP.
  4. Attach a 4" x 3/4" piece of the same DSP used above. Turn the piece over so the other side is showing. Attach it over the top of the lace trim, above the openings in the trim.
  5. Stamp the "For you" stamp from the Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set onto the right side of the Whisper White layer, right above the DSP, using the Sahara Sand Classic Stampin' Pad.
  6. Die-cut the flower stem/leaves die from the Beautiful Branches Thinlits Dies from a 3" x 3-1/2" piece of Mint Macaron Cardstock. Lay it down onto the card around where it needs to go. Do not attach, yet.
  7. Stamp the large petals/leaves stamp onto a 3-1/2" x 2-3/4" piece of Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock using the Sweet Sugarplum Classic Stampin's Pad. Die-cut it out with its large, coordinating die. Put small pieces of Stampin' Dimensionals onto the back of this die-cut. Cut the dimensionals down small enough to hide behind the petals.
  8. Position the flower stem/leaves die-cut and the flower where they need to go on the card (see pictures for placement). Once everything is lying down where it should be, attach the stem/leaves to the card first, using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. Remove the paper-backing from the dimensionals, and attach it to the top of the stem.

All of the supplies are listed below, except for the Thoughtful Branches and Beautiful Branches Thinlits. I'll add them to the list once they become available.

Short & Sweet Saturday - Blooms & Wishes

This week's Short & Sweet Saturday card really comes together quick! I used one of my new favorite stamp sets, Blooms & Wishes. I also used some new 2016-2018 In Colors (Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum), Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon, & the Layering Ovals Framelits.

All of my Short & Sweet Saturday (S&SS) cards are quick and easy to make, so they're perfect if you need to make a card last minute. I always include complete instructions on how to make my Short & Sweet cards, too.

Card Instructions:
  1. Fold a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock in half to make the card base.
  2. Stamp the flowers around the perimeter of a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White Cardstock. The six-petal flower stamp from the Blooms & Wishes Stamp Set is stamped with the Flirty Flamingo Classic Stampin' Pad, the four-petal flower stamp is stamped with the Sweet Sugarplum Classic Stampin' Pad, and the daisy flower stamp is stamped with the So Saffron Classic Stampin' Pad.
  3. Stamp the rounded-flower center stamp onto the center of the So Saffron flowers with the Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the multi-stemmed flower center stamp onto the center of the Sweet Sugarplum flowers with the Soft Suede ink pad, as well.
  4. Wrap a 7" piece of Flirty Flamingo 3/8" Ruched Ribbon around the center of the stamped piece, and attach the ribbon ends to the back of it with SNAIL Adhesive. Attach this to the front of the card base.
  5. Stamp the "for you" stamp onto the center of a 3-1/4" x 2-1/4" piece of Whisper White Cardstock using the Sweet Sugarplum ink pad. Die-cut it out with the 4th largest oval die in the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.
  6. Die-cut a scallop oval from a piece of 3-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of So Saffron Cardstock with the 2nd largest scallop oval die. Attach the greeting oval to the top of the scallop oval, and then attach it to the center of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

This set of projects makes a great gift for someone special or even as a gift to yourself.
