He Has Risen! - Easter Message Card


Today's card is another card that will be made at my Celebrate Spring Stamp Camp. I used the beautiful new stamp set, Easter Message. I saw a card that BJ Peters made. I loved how she stamped the cross on this beautiful designer paper from the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper (DSP). I just had to try it myself, and I love the result!


Dimensions:
  • Sahara Sand:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Blushing Bride:  4" x 5-1/4" (base layer)
  • Very Vanilla:  4-1/4" x 3-1/4" (DSP mat)
  • Falling in Love DSP:  3" x 4" (dewy branches paper)
  • Very Vanilla:  2-1/2" x 1-1/2" (greeting oval)
Instrutions:
  1. Fold the Sahara Sand card base piece in half.
  2. Stamp the top half of the lily stamp from the Easter Message Stamp Set onto each corner of the Blushing Bride base layer using the Blushing Bride Classic Stampin' Pad. Attach it to the front of the card base.
  3. Rub the Embossing Buddy across the DSP piece. Stamp the cross stamp onto the center of the DSP piece using the VersaMark Pad. Pour Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder over the image, and tap off the excess powder. Melt the powder with the Heat Tool until shiny (heat embossing technique)
  4. Color the cross in with the Sahara Sand marker from the Neutrals Stampin' Write Markers. Color the shroud in with the White Stampin' Chalk Marker. Attach the DSP piece to the center of the Very Vanilla mat piece, and attach it to the center of the Blushing Bride layer.
  5. Stamp the "He's not here..." stamp onto the center of the Very Vanilla greeting oval piece with the VersaMark Pad. Heat emboss the greeting with the Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder (refer to Step 3).
  6. Die-cut the greeting out with the second smallest oval die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. Attach the oval to the bottom, left corner of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Glittery Easter Egg Basket Card


Happy Monday, everybody! Here's a super cute, and glittery Easter card that will be made at my Celebrate Spring Stamp Camp next week. I have to say that I'm in LOVE with the new Sale-A-Bration glittery paper, 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack. The colors that are in the pack are Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron, & Sweet Sugarplum. I can't believe how brilliant and beautiful these papers are! I used the glimmer paper on the eggs and the bow on the basket. The pictures don't do this glimmer paper justice!


Dimensions:
  • Bermuda Bay:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Whisper White:  4" x 5-1/4" (base layer)
  • Sweet Sugarplum:  2-1/4" x 5" (DSP mat)
  • Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP):  2" x 4-3/4"
  • Mint Macaron:  3" x 4" (scallop oval)
  • Whisper White:  2-3/4" x 3-3/4" (oval)
  • Soft Suede:  4-1/2" x 2" (basket)
  • Chocolate Chip:  1-1/4" x 1-3/4" (chocolate bunny)
  • Cucumber Crush:  2-3/4" x 1-3/4" (grass)
  • Mint Macaron:  scraps (greeting label)
  • All 3 Glimmer Papers:  scraps (eggs and bow)
Instructions:
  1. Fold the Bermuda Bay card base piece in half.
  2. Attach the DSP piece to the center of the Sweet Sugarplum DSP mat piece, and attach it to the left side of the Whisper White base layer piece. Attach the whole thing to the card base.
  3. Die-cut the Whisper White oval piece with the largest, oval die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.
  4. Die-cut each detailed egg die from the Basket Builder Framelits Dies from each color of glimmer paper from the 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack (one egg from each color). Die-cut the bow die from a scrap piece of the Sweet Sugarplum glimmer paper.
  5. Stamp the basket base stamp and the handle stamp from the Basket Bunch Stamp Set onto the Soft Suede basket piece using the Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad. Die-cut the basket base and the handle out with their coordinating dies.
  6. Put a Mini Glue Dot onto the bottom, front of each egg. Attach them to the back of the basket base, making sure that the top two-thirds of the eggs show from the front of the basket base. Attach the handle to the back of the basket base, using a Mini Glue Dot on each end of the handle. Attach the egg basket to the top of the oval using SNAIL Adhesive.
  7. Die-cut the Cucumber Crush grass piece with the grass die. Put Snail Adhesive across the bottom, base section of the grass die-cut, and attach it to the bottom of the Whisper White oval. Trim the ends of the grass that are hanging over the oval off with Paper Snips.
  8. Die-cut the Mint Macaron scallop oval piece with the largest, scallop oval die from the Layering Ovals Framelits. Attach the Whisper White oval to the center of it.
  9. Stamp the chocolate bunny stamp onto the Chocolate Chip piece using the Early Espresso ink pad. Die-cut the bunny out with its coordinating die. Then, attach it to the right side of the grass.
  10. Stamp the greeting stamp onto the scrap piece of Mint Macaron cardstock using the Early Espresso ink pad. Punch the greeting out with the Classic Label Punch. Attach the label to the left of the chocolate bunny using SNAIL Adhesive.

Short & Sweet Saturday - Reverse Words

Here's today's Short & Sweet Saturday card. If you're needing a super quick birthday card, this is it! I used one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets that became available last Tuesday, and it's called Reverse Words. It has two stamps in the set, and they're both brushstroke-type words. The one I used, "hooray", and one that says "cheers".


Dimensions:
  • Pacific Point:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Tangerine Tango:  4" x 5-1/4" (base layer)
  • Whisper White:  3-7/8" x 2-1/2" (greeting layer)
  • Party Animal Designer Series Paper (DSP):  3-7/8" x 2-5/8" (birthday candle paper)
  • Emerald Envy 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon:  6" and 9"
Instructions:
  1. Fold the Pacific Point card base piece in half.
  2. Stamp the "hooray" stamp from the Reverse Words Stamp Set onto the center of the Whisper White greeting layer piece using the Tangerine Tango Classic Stampin' Pad. Attach the piece to the bottom of the Tangerine Tango base layer, making sure to have the same width of Tangerine Tango on the sides and bottom of the greeting layer.
  3. Attach the DSP piece to the top of the Tangerine Tango base layer piece, making sure to have the same width of Tangerine Tango on the sides and top of the DSP layer. If the DSP and greeting layer don't meet perfectly in the middle, that's okay. The ribbon will cover if up.
  4. Wrap the 6" piece if Emerald Envy 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon around the piece where the DSP and greeting layer meet, and attach the ribbon ends to the back of the Tangerine Tango base layer using SNAIL Adhesive. Tie the 9" piece of the same ribbon onto the left side of the attached ribbon using a bow. Trim the ribbon ends at an angle. Attach the whole thing to the center of the Pacific Point card base.
  5. Attach three Pacific Point stars from the Brights Enamel Shapes onto the greeting layer (see pictures for placement).
I'm not sure why both forms of the Reverse Words Stamp Set (clear & wood) are showing prices. Happy Valentine's Day!


I hope you're all having a wonderful Valentine's Day! Today, I'm sharing the card I made my wonderful hubby for Valentine's Day. I CASED this card from one that a fellow Craft Project Central designer, Cindy Brumbaugh, made. 

I think this is my favorite Valentine's Day stamp set of all time, and the Framelits that coordinate with it make it even more special! The stamp set is called Sealed with Love, and the dies set is called Love Notes Framelits. If you purchase them together as a bundle, you'll save 10%. The Love Notes Framelits are on backorder right now, but they are definitely worth the wait!


Dimensions:
  • Basic Black:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Whisper White:  3-1/4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer)
  • Real Red:  1-1/4" x  5-1/2" (heart border)
  • Real Red:  3" x 2" (envelope)
  • Basic Black:  3" x 2" (envelope)
  • Sending Love DSP Stack:  3" x 2" (envelope)
  • Whisper White:  5-1/2" x 1-3/4" (three notes)
  • Copper Foil Sheets:  1-3/4" x 1-1/2" (heart)
  • Whisper White:  2-1/4" x 3/8" (banner)
  • Scraps of Basic Black and Sending Love DSP
  • Whisper White:  4" x 5-1/4" (inside of card)
  • Sending Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stack:  3/4" x 5-1/4" (inside-outside strip)
  • Sending Love DSP Stack:  1/2" x 5-1/4" (inside-inside strip)
Instructions:
  1. Fold the Basic Black card base piece in half. Cut off a 3/4" strip off of the right side of the card front.
  2. Die-cut the Real Red heart border piece with the heart border die from the Love Notes Framelits Dies. Attach the uncut side of the border to the back of the card front. Make sure the right edge of the hearts line-up with the right edge of the card back. Fold the hearts along the score lines.
  3. Stamp the Happy Valentine's Day stamp from the Sealed with Love Stamp Set onto the bottom, right corner of the Whisper White embossed piece using the Real Red Classic Stampin' Pad. Emboss the piece with the Happy Heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Attach the piece to the center of the card front.
  4. Die-cut the Real Red, Basic Black, and Sending Love DSP envelope pieces with the envelope die. For each envelope, fold the narrow sides in, and attach them together with a Mini Glue Dot. Fold the bottom side up, and attach it with another Mini Glue Dot.
  5. Die-cut the triangle die from a scrap piece of Whisper White/Real Red heart paper and a scrap piece of Real Red/Whisper White acorn/leaves paper from the Sending Love DSP Stack. Attach the first triangle die-cut to the top flap of the Real Red envelope, and attach the second one to the top flap of the Basic Black envelope.
  6. Stamp the detailed heart row stamp onto the left, top side of the Whisper White notes piece using the Real Red Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the solid heart row stamp next to it, and then the small-heart row stamp next to it using the same ink pad. Die-cut the notes out with their coordinating notes dies. Insert one into each envelope (see pictures).
  7. Die-cut the lined heart die from the Copper Foil piece. Die-cut the wider-pointed arrow die from a scrap piece of Basic Black cardstock. Thread the arrow through a couple of the openings of the heart (see pictures).
  8. Attach a small wooden heart from the Sending Love Embellishments to the center of the DSP envelope using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. Attach the wooden scallop border heart onto the center of the Basic Black envelope using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
  9. Stamp the "hugs & kisses" stamp onto the Whisper White banner piece using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Clip a triangle out of each end of the piece, and attach it across the Real Red Envelope.
  10. Attach the Copper Foil heart to the top, right of the card using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. Attach the DSP envelope to the left of the heart, and then attach the Basic Black envelope to the bottom of the heart using SNAIL Adhesive. Attach the Real Red envelope below, and to the left of the DSP envelope using Stampin' Dimensionals (see pictures).
  11. INSIDE OF CARD:  Attach the 3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP to the right side of the Whisper White inside piece. Then, attach the 1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP next to the first strip. Stamp the "Sealed with a Kiss" stamp onto the bottom, left corner of the piece using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Then, stamp the lips stamp next to the greeting using the Real Red Classic Stampin' Pad. Attach the whole thing to the inside of the card.

Short & Sweet Saturday Avant Garden Meets Delicate Details


I'm so sorry that I couldn't do a Short & Sweet Saturday card last week. I was having some tooth problems last week, and it was hard to create. I had a temporary crown that was causing problems. I was so happy last Saturday when I went into the dentist, for the third time in one week, and was told that the permanent crown had come in a week early! The bad part was, on the 10-minute drive back home from the dentist, my tooth started hurting even worse than with the temporary crown! 😠 What was so maddening was that I hadn't had any tooth pain with the tooth until it got worked on. It was chipped, but never caused me any pain. Once I got home, the pain was unbearable. I called the dentist, was told to take Ibuprofen and Tylenol, and to call on Monday if it wasn't better. Thankfully, the Ibuprofen and Tylenol took the pain away. It never started hurting as bad as it did, but it's still not completely better. I think it's getting close, though. It just needed some more time to heal.

Now, back to stamping! I love how today's Short & Sweet Saturday card came out. I hadn't used my Sale-A-Bration (SAB) stamp set, Delicate Details, and just had to pull it out. I also used the SAB set, Avant Garden. I wasn't sure if stamping a lace trim stamp on top of the another one would look good, but I really like it! This card is super quick to make, too!


Dimensions:
  • Thick Whisper White:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Sweet Sugarplum:  1/2" x 5-1/2" (right border)
  • Whisper White:  2-1/2" x 5-1/2" (stamped image)
  • Succulent Garden DSP:  2-1/2" x 1" (Mint Macaron floral paper)
  • Succulent Garden Ribbon Combo Pack:  (2) 4" (Sweet Sugarplum ribbon)
Instructions:
  1. Fold the Thick Whisper White card base piece in half.
  2. Open the card back out. Stamp the widest lace stamp from the Delicate Detail Stamp Set along the left side of the card base using the Tip Top Taupe Classic Stampin' Pad. The lace will need to be stamped twice to get across the whole card (see pictures for placement).
  3. Stamp the second, widest lace stamp across the bottom part of the first lace using the Sweet Sugarplum Classic Stampin' Pad. The highest points in the second, widest lace should line-up with the middle part of each ruffle in the widest lace.
  4. Stamp the single flower stamp from the Avant Garden Stamp Set onto the Whisper White stamped image piece using Sweet Sugarplum ink (see pictures for placement). Stamp the flower center stamp onto the center of each flower using Tip Top Taupe ink. 
  5. Stamp the stem stamp onto the bottom of each flower using the Mint Macaron Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the single-leaf stamp onto the stems with the same ink (see pictures for placement).
  6. Stamp the "Thanks for being you" stamp onto the top, right corner of the piece with Tip Top Taupe ink.
  7. Attach the DSP piece to the bottom of the stamped image piece. Wrap one of the ribbon pieces across the top of the DSP, and attach the ends to the back of it using SNAIL Adhesive. Tie the other ribbon piece to the center of the attached ribbon using a single bow. Trim the ribbon ends.
  8. Attach the Sweet Sugarplum cardstock strip across the right side of the stamped image piece. It should be attached to the back of the piece, making sure that about 1/4" shows from the front. Then, attach the whole thing to the card base, making sure to line the left edge of the piece with the lace.






CPC From Trash to Treasures


Today's Craft Project Central project is designed by Buffy Cooper.

We all know it’s good to recycle, but having a recycling bin in your house is just a reminder to take out the trash. However, those same items – empty bottles, cans, and packaging products – organized in a pretty basket labeled “Repurpose for Crafting”, are a springboard to creativity. As Earth Day approaches, dig into that “repurpose” basket. Pull out an empty can, some old catalogs or magazines, and some brown paper and Styrofoam packaging to create a lovely floral bouquet and coordinating note card. In this tutorial, you’ll learn three versions of a Faux Cloisonné technique, and you’ll quickly age and rust that vegetable can from last night’s dinner. After all, the center of “earth” is “art”, so let’s create something beautiful while we protect our planet. Bonus: Many steps in this project are perfect for children. While they may need help with some of the cutting and embossing, most of it is “kid-friendly”. What a great way to help our children learn to appreciate our resources by repurposing trash and turning garbage into art.

Cool Treats CPC68 Sketch Card


I love the color combo in the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP)! The colors are so bright and cheerful! Those popsicles just scream summer, don't they? The popsicles are glittery in real life, because I brushed the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush onto each one. It's hard to tell in the picture above, but the close-up picture below shows it a little better.

Dimensions:
  • Peekaboo Peach:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Tasty Treats Specialty DSP:  4" x 5" (popsicle paper)
  • Crumb Cake:  3" x 3-1/2" (main image mat)
  • Tasty Treats Specialty DSP:  2-1/2" x 3" (Pear Pizzazz polka dot paper)
  • Whisper White:  3" x 2-1/2" (popsicles)
  • Whisper White:  3" x 3/8" (greeting)
  • Peekaboo Peach 3/8" Ruched Ribbon:  4"
  • Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine:  (3) 6"
Instructions:
  1. Fold the Peekaboo Peach card base in half. Tear off about a 1/4" strip from the bottom, 4" side of the popsicle paper from the Tasty Treats DSP. Attach it to the card base (see pictures).
  2. Attach the Pear Pizzazz polka dot paper to the center of the Crumb Cake piece. Wrap the Peekaboo Peach 3/8" Ruched Ribbon around the top part of the DSP/Cardstock, and attach the ribbon ends to the back of the Crumb Cake mat using SNAIL Adhesive. Attach it to the card.
  3. Stamp the skinny popsicle stamp from the Cool Treats Stamp Set onto the Whisper White popsicle piece three times - one in each of the following colors:  Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach, and Pool Party. Stamp the narrow, popsicle stick stamp onto the bottom of each popsicle, using the Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad.
  4. Die-cut the popsicles out with the skinny popsicle die from the Frozen Treats Framelits Dies.
  5. Brush the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush all over the popsicles (not onto the sticks).
  6. Tie each Whisper White Baker's Twine piece onto the top of the popsicle sticks into a bow.
  7. Attach the popsicles onto the card using Stampin' Dimensionals (see pictures for placement).
  8. Stamp the "I hope your day..." stamp onto the Whisper White greeting piece using the Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Pad. Attach it underneath the Crumb Cake mat.
