Short & Sweet Saturday - Christmas Pines Meets Card Front Builder Thinlits

Well, it's here! Christmas time! I do believe this is my favorite time of the year! Today's card was one I had a group of ladies make at  a scrapbooking crop earlier this month. I CASEd this one from one that Melissa Davies made. As you can see, I did change it up a bit. This card comes together so quick, and it's so beautiful and elegant! Since it comes together so quickly, I knew it would be a perfect Short & Sweet Saturday card.

Yes, I used the Rhinestone Basic Jewels again! This time, I didn't change their color with Stampin' Blends. I wanted them to look just like they come! They're perfect for this card just as they are! Remember, you can get a full pack of Rhinestone Basic Jewels FREE from me with a qualifying order this month (and use this month's host code). You can find out how by CLICKING HERE.

Dimensions:
  • Sahara Sand:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2"
  • Whisper White:  4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer) & 4-1/2" x 3/4" (banner)
  • Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP):  4" x 1"
  • Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape:  (2) 6" strips (1 of each narrow gold tape and wide gold-design tape)
  • Gold Glimmer Paper:  1-1/2" x 2-1/2" (tree)
  • Champagne Foil Sheets:  1" x 1" (deer)
Instructions:
  1. Emboss the left, three-fourths of the snowflake in the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder into the center, right side of the larger Whisper White piece. Lay the piece down so the embossed (raised side) of the snowflake is facing down. Attach the DSP piece across the middle part of the card. The top edge of the DSP piece should line up with the center of the debossed snowflake. Wrap the narrow gold tape from the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape across the Whisper White piece, directly below the DSP layer, attaching the tape ends to the back of the Whisper White piece. Attach the wide, gold-design tape directly below the first washi tape the same way.
  2. Fold the Sahara Sand piece in half (fold on the left) to form the card base. Attach the Whisper White piece to the card base.
  3. Punch both ends of the smaller Whisper White piece with the Banner Triple Punch. Stamp the "season of joy" stamp from the Christmas Pines Stamp Set onto the center of the banner using the Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad. Attach the banner across the bottom, right end of the DSP layer on the card.
  4. Die-cut a tree out of the Gold Glimmer Paper piece using the single-tree die from the Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies. Die-cut a deer out of the Champagne Foil Sheet piece using the deer die. Attach the tree to the top, right edge of the banner. Attach the deer to the left side of the tree using Mini Glue Dots. Attach three, small rhinestones from the Rhinestone Basic Jewels onto the card (see picture for placement).
Note:  Use SNAIL Adhesive unless stated otherwise.
